Mejied Kyrpang a.k.a Rapturous, is one of the most talented artists to have come out from the Eastern Frontiers of India in recent memory.
Hailing from the ‘Scotland of the East’- Shillong, he is an alum of the reputed Symphonic Movement.
his experience with the movement is quite conspicuous in his music- which incorporates elements of Rastafari, reggae, R&B, along with powerful lyrics which touch upon important social issues; delivered in both English and his native tongue, Khasi.
His sole goal and drive for his music is to spread the message of Jah.

Red Panda Tapes was born from a passionate vision: to support the exceptional creative talents emerging from the North-East, a captivating region of India brimming with musical brilliance, yet frequently overlooked and out of the spotlight. The seed of inspiration, which culminated in the start of this project, was sown by a music project aptly named “Anthem for the North-East”.
